RECON Announces the Opening of a New Operations Center in Dickinson, North Dakota

RECON is pleased to announce the opening of a new operations center to serve the open-hole logging requirements for its growing client portfolio in the Williston Basin of North Dakota and Montana. The new 10,000 sq ft operations center is located in Dickinson, ND and will serve the greater Williston Basin in North Dakota and Montana and other growth areas in the Northern Rocky Mountain areas.  Dickinson was selected for its superior geographic proximity to RECON’s growing client base operating throughout the region.

RECON’s plans include basing multiple open-hole logging units operating out of the new facility by Q3 2011 in order to support current operations, which are being deployed out of a temporary location in Dickinson.  “The Bakken Shale is poised to become a major growth market for our open-hole logging division and will eventually serve the Northern Rockies region as a base of operations for our cased-hole completions and cased-hole specialty logging divisions”, said Michael Boyle, president of RECON.  He added “as RECON continues to grow in the U.S. and Canadian energy services markets, we are paying special attention to the strategic placement of assets in order to best serve our clients’ demand for our STANDARD high-resolution logging services. The opening of the new Dickinson facility is a key component in our long-term strategy to deliver unique value across important markets like the Bakken.”
