Cement Bond Analysis (CBL/VDL)
A traditional Cement Bond Log (CBL/VDL) measuring the amplitude of a sonic signal passing along the casing; the signal is reduced where the casing is bonded to the cement. Display's the integrated cement integrity around the casing.
Radial Cement Bond Analysis (RBCA)
This service takes the guess work out of cement bond interpretation. By subdividing the cemented well bore into 8 individual segments for bond analysis an accurate determination of the bonding and strength for each segment is evaluated. The tool is capable of attaining this information by using a unique slotted sleeve technology that provides superior isolation, rigidity and tool strength. This allows for the identification of any channels that may exist within the cement bond. The result is a accurate and conclusive overall bonding condition analysis that can be made clearly and immediately on the wellsite.
This service is ran in conjunction with a digital Gamma Ray/CCL and is accurately correlated to your open hole logs to ensure depth accuracy for future completion and remediation work.
Compensated Dual-Spaced Neutron (DSN)
This service has proven to be very beneficial to our customers whom for whatever reasons do not have/have unusable Open Hole neutron porosity logs. They can use the information obtained to aid in the (re)completion and/or to re-enter existing wellbores.
The DSN Compensated Neutron tool (also known as CNL – Compensated Neutron Log) consists of 2 He3 thermal neutron detectors which provide compensation for borehole, casing and cement effects. By using the specially designed tool and proprietary software algorithms to compensate for casing and cement shielding of formation response - we are able to represent formation neutron porosity on limestone, sandstone, or dolomite matrix with surprising accuracy and correlation to nearby offset logs provided by the client or pulled from our vast database of open hole logs throughout the US and Canada.
This service can be coupled to run simultaneously with RCBA (Radial Cement Bond Analysis) to give a quick and effective view of well completion or re-entry possibilities.

Gamma Ray/CCL - Depth Correlation While Perforating
RECON’s standard 3.125” Slick Gun System (SGS) is an economical and effective alternative for perforating wells with Bottom Hole Pressure (BHP) <7500psi, without leaving excessive debris or losing charge penetration. The alternative use of competitors exposed charge perforating systems consistently leave debris behind.
Deep Penetrating (DP) Charges: Delivers a .42” Entry Hole Diameter (EHD) with over 41 inches of Normalized Penetration
RECON offers premium and specialty perforating service’s including Thru-Tubing, High Shot Density and Super Deep Penetrating (up to 66 Inches penetration!) along with expert advice to help you succeed with your completion program.
Integrated Composite Plug Setting
RECON provides high quality composite bridge plugs for temporary isolation in multiple stage completions – both vertical and horizontal applications are available in solid and ball drop/pump through models with consistent drill times <30min.
RECON maintains our own pressure control equipment tailored specifically for each individual wireline completion job dispatched – ensuring the right equipment is on location to SAFELY allow wireline logging and perforating operations to be performed while containing pressures up to 10,000psi.
RECON Delivers SAFETY with certified operators using modern, frequently inspected crane and lifting equipment with 25 ton capacity and 124ft boom length to greatly lesson the limitations of tool/gun string length often imposed by crane capacity and height.
